Cosmetic Formulation Calculators

Accurate weighing is the foundation of every stable cream, serum and toner. These free tools convert your formula percentages into grams, handle dilutions, switch between units and create lot numbers, so you can focus on the formulation itself. All results update instantly as you type, and nothing you enter leaves your browser.

Percentage Calculator

Work out how many grams of an ingredient you need, what percentage a weighed amount represents, or how large a batch a given amount will make. For actives such as those in our cosmetic peptides collection, always use the recommended use level stated by the supplier on each product page.

Dilution Calculator

Find out how much of a concentrated stock solution and how much base you need to reach a lower target concentration. This is handy when preparing a working dilution of an ingredient such as hyaluronic acid before adding it to a formula.

Full Formula Batch Calculator

Enter every ingredient with its percentage and the batch size to get the exact weight of each phase component. A ready-made peptide ingredient like Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 Peptide Solution goes in as one row at the level shown on its product page, and the total must add up to exactly 100%.

Ingredient % Grams

Weight Converter

Convert between grams, kilograms, ounces and pounds when a recipe or supplier uses a different system. One ounce equals 28.3495 grams.

Volume Converter

Switch between millilitres, US fluid ounces, teaspoons, tablespoons and drops. Drops are only an estimate (about 20 drops per ml), so weigh critical ingredients instead.

Temperature Converter

Heating and cool-down phases are often given in a different scale. Type in either field to convert between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Batch Number Generator

Create a traceable lot code in YYDDDBB format: two digits of the year, the day of the year and the batch number made that day. Record it with your formula so every product can be traced back.

FAQ

Why should I weigh ingredients instead of measuring by volume?

Formulas are written in percent by weight, and ingredients have different densities, so a millilitre of oil and a millilitre of glycerin do not weigh the same. A scale with 0.01 g resolution gives far more consistent results, especially for small amounts of actives.

How much peptide should I add to my formula?

Use levels differ from one peptide and one supplier to another, so we do not give a general figure here. Check the recommended use level on each product page and enter it in the percentage or batch calculator above. If your skin feels tight and dry, our winter barrier serum guide shows how a complete formula comes together.

What if my formula does not add up to 100%?

Adjust the main solvent, usually water, so that the total is exactly 100%. The batch calculator shows the current total and the difference you need to correct.

Are drop conversions accurate?

No, drop size depends on the dropper and the viscosity of the liquid. The 20 drops per ml figure is a rough estimate only, so use a scale whenever precision matters.
