Turmeric Extract Powder 4:1 (Root) is a golden botanical extract (INCI: Curcuma Longa L. Root Extract) made in the USA from turmeric root by dehydration. Its warm natural color and spice heritage make it a favorite for face masks, creams and other colorful skin-care products. It is water-soluble with a little natural sediment, and it comes in 5 oz, 1 pound and 2 pound packs.
About Turmeric Root Extract
The extract ratio is 4:1, which describes how much raw root went into each part of extract. That ratio is not the same as a curcumin percentage; if your project needs a curcumin figure, request the batch assay. The current product text notes that curcumin is the compound turmeric is best known for and highlights its antioxidant properties.
What It Brings
A natural golden color
Turmeric gives products a rich yellow-orange tone that signals “glow” at first sight, ideal for masks and glow-themed lines.
Antioxidant story
Curcumin’s antioxidant reputation gives the ingredient a strong, recognizable label story.
Water-friendly powder
It disperses in water-based products, leaving a little natural sediment that is normal for this kind of extract.
Applications
Turmeric root extract is used in wash-off clay and cream masks, creams, lotions and other skin-care products where its color is welcome. It works well in a botanical “superfood” range next to pomegranate extract powder and spirulina powder. Find the full range in our botanical extracts category.
How to Use
Disperse the powder into the water phase or blend it into dry mask powders. Always check its natural color and dispersion in your base before setting the final amount, and evaluate the finished product for uniformity and staining potential on skin, fabric and packaging. Pack sizes for every stage
A 5 oz pack lets you try the shade in masks and creams without overcommitting. Move to 1 pound or 2 pounds once the product is in regular production, so each run starts from the same familiar material. Choose your size and add Turmeric Extract Powder 4:1 (Root) to your cart today.
Mask or cream?
In dry mask powders the extract simply blends with clays and is mixed with water at the moment of use. In creams it goes into the water phase, where you should confirm that the color stays uniform and sediment does not settle visibly in the jar.
Compatibility
The extract combines with clays, other plant powders and water-based creams and gels. Because of its strong color, test it next to any white or pale ingredients to see the final shade, and expect slight sediment in clear liquids.
Characteristics

For one application, stir 5 g of the powder with 6 g of water into a smooth paste, apply a thin layer to clean skin for ten minutes and rinse well with lukewarm water. Do a small test first, since turmeric can tint skin and towels.
