This Tetrapeptide-1 solution is based on Uplevity e-Lift from Lipotec, a tetrapeptide inspired by micro-current beauty devices. It is designed to mimic the benefits of electrical stimulation on the skin, for a lifted look of the upper face and less visible wrinkles. The liquid is translucent to transparent and water soluble.
What Is BLP Tetrapeptide-1 Peptide Solution?
The active is Tetrapeptide-1, supplied at 0.05% in water and preserved with caprylyl glycol. The supplier describes it as naturally derived, designed and produced according to Green Chemistry principles, with 99.5% natural origin content under ISO 16128. It is a different material from Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2, which we already offer as Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2 solution.
Key Properties
Device-inspired positioning
The supplier targets topical products aiming at results comparable to commercial micro-current devices.
Upper face focus
Applications include the look of lifted cheeks, brows and eyelids.
High natural origin content
99.5% natural origin content according to ISO 16128, as stated by the supplier.
Where It Is Used
Lifting eye creams, brow and eyelid serums, cheek contour creams and complete anti-aging routines. Pair it with our Hexapeptide-10 peptide solution for a firmness theme. All water-soluble peptides are in our peptides category.
How to Use
It can go into the water phase, tolerating up to 80°C for 4 hours in hot processing, but the supplier recommends adding it at the end, after the emulsion has formed and the batch is below 40°C. Recommended usage rate: 2%. Recommended pH of the finished product: 3.0 to 8.0.
Compatibility and Technical Notes
Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, so keep it away from peroxides and similar materials. It fits gels, serums and emulsions. Do not apply the raw material directly to skin.
Characteristics
INCI: Water (Aqua), Tetrapeptide-1, Caprylyl Glycol. Peptide content: 0.05% Tetrapeptide-1. Appearance: translucent to transparent solution. Solubility: water soluble. CAS number: not stated by the supplier.
Example: Brow and Lid Lifting Gel (30 g)
Disperse 0.15 g xanthan gum in 1 g glycerin, add 27.95 g distilled water and stir until smooth. Add 0.6 g of the Tetrapeptide-1 solution and 0.3 g preservative. Mix and fill into a 30 mL airless pump.
Pairing With Devices
Because e-Lift was inspired by micro-current treatments, brands often position it in a gel that customers can also use as a conductive gel with home devices. If you do this, keep the gel water-based, fragrance-light and free of oxidizing ingredients, and test the gel with the device before launch.
For a full upper face routine, combine the gel with a hydrating cream and a sunscreen chosen by the customer.
Storage
Keep sealed in a cool, dark place. Confirm shelf life with the supplier documentation.
